Systems Developer • Backend Architecture

Nicholas Abouhalkah

I build complete systems from scratch. I design how data flows, how users interact, and how requests execute from entry to response.

I control authentication, validation, and data handling so systems behave predictably and are easy to maintain.

Graduating in May. Java certification in progress. Focused on building systems that run in real environments.

What I Do

System Architecture

I design system flow from input to execution and response.

Data Control

I structure how data is stored and retrieved across systems.

Authentication

Login systems, verification, and secure account handling.

Execution Flow

I define how systems behave internally without relying on frameworks.

Deployment

Systems built with real environments and hosting in mind.

Ownership

I understand and control every layer of the system.

Systems and Work

Active Client

Client System Expansion

Working directly with a local business to expand and restructure a live production system. Currently developing an internal admin control center to manage operations, client data, and system behavior. This engagement is structured as a long term collaboration focused on ongoing system development and continued client acquisition.

Platform

Confidential Build

A behavior driven platform designed to guide users through structured progression and accountability. The system focuses on habit reinforcement, goal tracking, and measurable progress over time. Built with full authentication, user state tracking, and controlled system logic.

Internal Compliance System

Social Media Archive and Compliance System

Built as part of an internal team initiative within a live environment. The system is designed around data retention, structured archiving, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Due to confidentiality, implementation details and system specifics are not publicly disclosed.

Game Development

Confidential Interactive System

Developing a multiplayer interactive system using C++ and Unreal Engine. Focused on real time execution, networking, and game logic, while building a deeper understanding of lower level programming and system performance within a live environment.

Foundation

Original Website Build

Initial system build that established the foundation for my backend development. Included form intake handling, request storage, and structured data flow, along with resume delivery functionality. This project marks the starting point of how I design and control system behavior.

Graduating in May with an Associate of Applied Science in Software Development

Completing Java certification prior to graduation to strengthen core programming fundamentals

Continuing to design and build real systems across multiple environments

How I Build Systems

Structure First

System flow is defined before implementation to ensure predictable behavior and scalability.

Controlled Expansion

Each layer is built outward with validation, maintaining control over how data and logic move through the system.

Deep Understanding

Focus on understanding internal system behavior rather than relying on abstraction alone.

Continuous Refinement

Systems are tested, evaluated, and improved through iterative development and real world use.

Next Goals

Graduate and immediately continue into a Bachelor’s degree to expand beyond development into system leadership and project ownership.

Pursue Business Administration to build the skills needed to lead teams, manage projects, and take ownership of full scale system development.

Move from building systems alone to leading the design, execution, and scaling of larger systems in real environments.

Continue developing production ready systems that handle real users, real data, and real world demands.

Position myself to take full control of projects from idea to deployment, including both technical execution and business direction.

Why I Build

As a deaf individual, connection has always mattered to me. The physical world can feel limited, where communication is not always accessible and people are often left out.

A digital environment removes those barriers. When systems are built correctly, they create a space where communication is structured, accessible, and inclusive.

I build systems to create environments where interaction is clear, controlled, and available to everyone, regardless of how they experience the world.
